Background

The Cooperative Capital Markets Regulatory System website is administered on behalf of the governments of British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, Yukon and Canada, and any other provinces or territories that join the initiative (Participating Governments).

On September 8, 2014, the governments of British Columbia, New Brunswick, Ontario, Saskatchewan and Canada released a memorandum of agreement (MOA) setting out the terms and conditions of the cooperative capital markets regulatory system. Consultation draft uniform provincial legislation and consultation draft complementary federal legislation were also released for public comment until Friday, November 7, 2014. On Friday, October 31, the comment period was extended to Monday, December 8, 2014 as a result of requests from some stakeholders. The policy regarding disclosure of comments is available here.

Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

The Participating Governments collect, use and disclose personal information in connection with the public comment process to assist in the establishment of the cooperative system. Any personal information you provide will only be used for these purposes. The collection, use, and disclosure of this information is necessary to fulfill the commitment in the MOA to provide for public comment on the draft legislation.

Use of Cookies

The web servers of this site track general information about site visitors such as their domain name, time of visit, IP address and the pages being accessed which is used in the aggregate to better manage this site. The website’s administrator, on behalf of the Participating Governments, may use Google Analytics to track website usage.
